this week at Bentley.....
The weeks seem to be flying by - I cannot believe it is the end of week 3 already! I love receiving my updates from Mrs Miffling and hearing about everything everyone is getting up to in school.
Some of you may have noticed that we now have a Facebook page (Bentley CE Primary School). We are planning to keep you up to date with what’s happening in school by sharing all sorts of things on our page. At the moment, we are not including photos of the children, but soon a permission form will be sent home asking whether we can use images of your child on our social media.
The Facebook page is also a great way for us to share school events, such as EYFS open mornings for 2024 starters. If you could ‘share’ the post, it would be greatly appreciated.
You will have received an email this week with an Autumn Parent Survey link. Please can you complete the form so that I can find out what you think is great about Bentley and how we can make it even better. I have also been finding out what the children love about their school. They listed:
Friendship
Residentials
The teachers
Learning
The Guinea pigs
Bentley events
These were just a few! The children named so many things that they love about Bentley - they made me very excited about my return.
Thank you to everyone who attended the 'Meet the Teacher' sessions, I hope you found them informative. We appreciate that the timings may not suit everyone, but hopefully the PowerPoints that we sent out were helpful. Please remember if you have any questions, the teachers are always happy to answer them.

OPEN DAYS – Yr R 2024
We will be holding an open mornings and afternoons for everyone interested in joining our reception class at Bentley in September 2024. Please spread the word. Places can be booked via the website by clicking the 'school' tab or using the following link Yr R 2024 open day bookings

FUNDRAISING
A huge well done to year 1 who were the winners of the Smarty Tube Challenge.
PTFA
We’d love to see as many of you as possible online at our AGM on Thursday 28th September, 8pm. We will discuss how the money raised from last year has been spent, and what we’re aiming towards this year! Plus, we will reveal all our exciting plans for the months ahead. Keep an eye out for a teams invite soon.
