1:1 Special Needs Support Assistant (SNA) in Infant Class

Salary Details: Grade B–C depending on experience, equates to £17,521-£18,847 pro rata (FTE £22,737-£24,140)
Hours of Work: 5 days per week, 32.5 hours a week 8:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. term time only
Job/Person Summary
Bentley CE Primary School is a very successful village school. We provide a happy and stimulating environment in which pupils feel secure, trusted and valued. We are seeking a confident and committed person to support our children, some of whom have specific communication, learning or social and emotional needs.
Although this position is initially a one year contract it has the potential to become a permanent role. Ideally, we are looking for a person who can work Monday to Friday. However, there may be some flexibility and part-time applicants may be considered. Please state clearly in your covering letter with your application if you wish to be considered on a part time basis.
Key areas of work specifically include;
- Working 1:1 with a child with an EHC plan to support them to learn within a mainstream classroom
- Adapting programmes and plans to support the pupil under the direction of the class teacher and SEND Leader
- Dealing with any behaviour and special needs issues in collaboration with the teacher
- Supporting effective lunchtime and break time play as a Lunchtime Supervisory Assistant within this role

- Experience of working in a primary school
